হ্যা ডোমেইন না ডোমেইনঃ
অনেকেই বলে থাকে ই-কমার্স বা এফ-কমার্সে ডোমেইন এর দরকার নেই|অনেকে আবার বলে ডোমেইন ছাড়া ই-কমার্স বা এফ-কমার্স পিলার ছাড়া বিল্ডিং এর মত। নতুন উদ্যোক্তাদের অবস্থা তখন দুই নৌকা। কোনটা রেখে কোনটায় উঠি? মাঝ নদীতে গিয়ে মনে হয় অন্যটায় চড়লেই ভালো হতো।আজকে তাই ডোমেইনের বিষয়ে আলাপ করবো।
ডোমেইন কি?
ডোমেইন হলো ওয়েবসাইটের নাম| আপনি যে নামে ওয়েবসাইট করতে চাচ্ছেন, সেই নামটি নিবন্ধন করার প্রক্রিয়াকে বলে ডোমেইন রেজিস্ট্রেশন।
একটা এলাকায় দোকান করতে যেমন সাইনবোর্ড লাগে,তেমনি ওয়েবসাইটে অনলাইন ব্যবসা করতে ডোমেইন নেইম লাগে। ডোমেইন নেইম ইউনিক হতে হয়। একই নামে দুই্টা ডোমেইন নেইম হতে পারে না।
ফেসবুকে একই নামে অনেক পেইজ খোলা যায়, কিন্তু ডোমেইন নেইম একটাই খোলা যায়।- ফেসবুকে যে বিজনেস পেইজ খুলেছেন সেটা হলো ফেসবুকের প্লাটফর্ম। যদি ফেসবুক আপনার পেইজ বন্ধ করে দেয় কিংবা আপনার আইডি ডিজেবল করে দেয়, তাহলে আপনার প্রতিষ্ঠানের কি হবে? আপনার গ্রাহকেরা কিভাবে আপনাকে খুজে পাবে?
যেহেতু আপনি অনলাইন নির্ভর প্রতিষ্ঠান। এখন যদি আপনার একটা ওয়েবসাইট থাকে, তাহলে আপনার গ্রাহকেরা পেইজে না পেলেও আপনাকে ওয়েবসাইটের মাধ্যমে সহজেই খুজে পাবে|
ফেসবুকে একই নামে অনেক পেইজ খোলা যায় কিন্তু ওয়েবসাইট এক নামে একটাই খোলা যায়।
ধরুন আপনি ডোমেইন না কিনেই, শিউলীফুল নামে পেইজ ওপেন করলেন। পেইজ দিয়ে ভালোই ব্যবসা করছেন। হঠাৎ আপনার আইডি নষ্ট হয়ে গেলো বা পেইজ বন্ধ হয়ে গেলো। এখন তাহলে কি করবেন। ডোমেইন কিনতে গিয়ে দেখলেন শিউলীফুল নামে ডোমেইন আরেকজন কিনে নিয়েছে অনেক আগে। আপনার প্রতিষ্ঠানকে সবাই শিউলী ফুল নামে চিনে। এখন কেউ আপনা্র পেইজ নামে গুগোলে সার্চ দিলে অন্যের নেয়া শিউলীফুল সাজেশন হিসেবে তাদের দেখাবে। আপনার নামে অন্যের অটো মার্কেটিং হবে। তাই যেই নামে পেইজ খুলতে চাইছেন আগে দেখুন যে সেই নামে ডোমেইন খালি আছে কিনা। এতে করে সুবিধা হলো আপনি আপনার ভবিষ্যৎ ব্যবসায়ের একটা নিরাপত্তা পেলেন। যারা আপনার নিয়মিত ক্রেতা তারা ঠিকই তখন প্রতিষ্ঠানের নামে সার্চ করে আপনাকে খুঁজে নিতে পারবে।
বর্তমান সময়ে ডোমেইন রেজিস্ট্রেশন খুবই সহজ ও স্বল্পব্যয় সাপেক্ষ ব্যাপার। একবছরের ডোমেইন+হোষ্টিং দুই থেকে আড়াই হাজার টাকায় হয়ে যায়। পাচ হাজারের মাঝে ওয়েব ডেভেলপ ডিজাইন করিয়ে শুরু করুন। পরবর্তীতে ব্যবসা বাড়লে ডেভেলপ করুন, আপডেট করুন।যেখানে উপযুক্ত সুযোগ আছে, সেখানে রিস্ক কেন নেবেন?মনে রাখবেন বর্ষায় ছাতা নিয়ে বের হওয়াটাই বুদ্ধিমানের পরিচয়। নইলে মাঝনদীতে গিয়ে ভুগতে হবে ও ভাবতে হবে ওই নৌকায় উঠা দরকার ছিলো।
